Dorking Quilters are a small friendly group who meet in the afternoon on the second Tuesday of each month in Dorking.  We have a varied programme of speakers, sewing afternoons, trips and workshops

 

We want to share our love of quilting and enjoy sewing and learning together.  Recently, we visited a Kaffe Fassett exhibition, enjoyed talks by Carolyn Forster and Catherine Lawes and created Surprise Quilts as part of a group project.  Previously, we have made a Jubilee group quilt, held great workshops with Gillian Travis and Wendy Dolan, and we enjoy a regular coach trip to the Festival of Quilts  

 

We lend our quilting expertise to support charities, most recently making Linus Quilts and supporting Quilts for Care Leavers

We welcome new members at all levels from beginners to those more accomplished Visitors are also welcome to join our talks and practical sessions
