Dorking Quilters are a small friendly group who meet in the evening on the second Tuesday of each month in Dorking.  We have a varied programme of speakers, sewing evenings, trips and workshops

 

We want to share our love of quilting and enjoy sewing and learning together.  Last year we visited a Kaffe Fassett exhibition, enjoyed talks by Carolyn Forster and Catherine Lawes and created Surprise Quilts as part of a group project.  In 2022 we made a Jubilee group quilt, held two great workshops with Gillian Travis and Wendy Dolan, and were able to resume our regular coach trip to the Festival of Quilts.  

 

We lend our quilting expertise to support charities, most recently making Linus Quilts and supporting Quilts for Care Leavers

We welcome new members at all levels from beginners to those more accomplished. Visitors are also welcome to join our talks and practical sessions
